Keynote Speaker: Peter Leitch, President North Shore Studios/Mammoth Studios
Peter Leitch is the President of North Shore Studios and Mammoth Studios and is Chair of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of B.C. Peter is a Chartered Professional Accountant and was honoured with a fellowship by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C., a Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal and an honorary doctorate degree from Capilano University.
Peter is a strong contributor in the business community, as a Governor and Past Chair of our North Vancouver Chamber, a former director of the B.C. Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Board of Governors of the B.C. Business Council.
Paul Dangerfield assumed the role of Capilano University's third president and vice-chancellor on October 1, 2016. Previously, Paul was the executive director and Vancouver campus dean of the New York Institute of Technology, and dean of Capilano University's faculty of business and professional studies from 2006 to 2009; vice-president of Education, Research and International with British Columbia Institute of Technology, and previously spent 20 years with the Canadian Forces Paul has served on a wide variety of boards including West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce; B.C. Council on Admissions and Transfer and the B.C. Technology Education Careers Council, and is a board member with Economic Partnership North Vancouver.
Rushabh Jhaveri has over 14+ years of progressive senior leadership, sales, relationship management and business development experience in the banking industry. He is currently Vice President - North Shore Commercial banking with The Royal Bank of Canada where he leads a successful team of Commercial Account Managers based on the North Shore, Sunshine Coast and Sea-to-Sky corridor. Rushabh has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of British Columbia and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Mumbai University, India. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
Duana Kipling was appointed President of Neptune Terminals in 2020. Her background is in rail operations, including many roles with CP Rail and management of a significant coal delivery rail operation in Australia for Aurizon. Neptune Terminals receives Canadian potash and steelmaking coal by rail and loads it to vessels for export to markets around the world. The terminal employs over 500 staff, contractors, and unionized longshore workers annually.
Wendy McCulloch is the Executive Director of Impact North Shore (formally the North Shore Multicultural Society.) With over 25 years of experience in non- profit management, Wendy has a deep passion for building equitable communities and developing innovative programs that find new ways to solve social challenges. Impact North Shore is a for-purpose organisation that supports immigrants and migrants to fulfil their goals as they transition to life in their community and find success in the local labour market. Impact North Shore works with North Shore leaders, organisations and service providers to achieve a collective vision of an equitable and bright future.
