Isobel Mackenzie
Isobel Mackenzie is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Gerontology at Simon Fraser University. From 2014-2024 Isobel served as Seniors Advocate for the Province of BC, where she was responsible for monitoring services to seniors. She released over 30 public reports that prompted changes to legislation, regulations and policy across a spectrum of seniors’ programs. Recognized as a national authority on issues related to seniors, Isobel has testified as an expert witness to many parliamentary and legislative committees, has served as national media spokesperson, has addressed professional conferences and symposia, and has served on numerous boards and commissions.

Annwen Loverin, Executive Director, Silver Harbour Seniors' Activity Centre
Annwen Loverin is the Executive Director of Silver Harbour Seniors’ Activity Centre, a community gathering place with more than 75 different programs and services for seniors in North Vancouver.
Annwen is a skilled non-profit leader and manager with over twenty-five years’ experience in supporting seniors’ well-being, independence, and resilience. With a Masters in Community Planning from UBC, she balances strategic and creative thinking with a strong commitment to equity, compassion, and positivity.
Cherian Itty, Owner/Managing Director, Comfort Keepers
Cherian Itty owns and operates Comfort Keepers, an accredited Home Care service in North Vancouver and West Vancouver. He is a Member of the Rotary Club of Lions Gate and the North Shore Senior Services Circle, a group of North Shore businesses that come together to provide services to seniors. A former Chair of the Board of Governors at Capilano University, he is a graduate of CapU and holds an MBA from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. His passion lies in bringing together non-profit and private enterprises to help Seniors remain active and engaged longer.
Heny Mustikasari, General Manager, Summerhill PARC
Heny Mustikasari is a results-driven leader with a proven track record in organizational management and team development. After a successful 16-year career as a Human Resources professional in Indonesia, she brought her expertise to Canada, where she now serves as the General Manager of Summerhill PARC. Heny holds a master’s degree in strategic management and completed the Business Management program at Vancouver Community College. She also plays an active role in local economic development as a board member of the newly established Lonsdale Central Business Improvement Association.
Parm Johal, Owner, Davies Home Healthcare
Parm Johal is the owner of Davies Home Healthcare. For over 35 years, Parm has shown leadership in community pharmacy and healthcare. His home healthcare and pharmacies are in Squamish, Port Coquitlam, and the North Shore and have become trusted hubs of wellness, bridging critical healthcare gaps and fostering stronger, healthier communities. Parm has helped shaped public perception of patient-centered care, reinforcing the essential role of community pharmacists in modern healthcare. His commitment to enhancing patient outcomes and supporting holistic well-being has earned him the Bowl of Hygeia Award, recognizing outstanding public and community service.
Sohail Kamal, CEO and Proprietor, North Shore Sports Medicine
Sohail Kamal brings over 15 years of experience in building high-performing, community-centered healthcare teams. Under Sohail’s leadership, NSSM has grown into one of the region’s most respected allied health clinics—anchored in physiotherapy, kinesiology, and massage therapy, and now expanding holistically to include naturopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and registered dietitian services.
Through philanthropic partnerships, NSSM donates to organizations like Keep Well, and with local foundations, helps direct resources to senior-focused charities across the North Shore.
