Kim Stegeman is President of SSA Marine Canada, leading the region with a focus on operational excellence, collaboration, and sustainable growth. With over 30 years of leadership experience in marine terminal operations, finance, and organizational transformation, she began her career in hospitality before finding her professional home on the waterfront. A Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Port Executive, Kim holds a Bachelor of Commerce and champions transparent, inclusive leadership while engaging actively in industry and community initiatives.

Mariana Freitas is the owner of Life Studio, a boutique wellness and fitness space in North Vancouver focused on building strength and lasting well-being. With a background in advertising and marketing, she brings over a decade of experience across energy, real estate, politics, events, and fitness in three countries. She now leads a growing team, combining strategic marketing expertise with hands-on leadership to deliver strong business results and exceptional client experiences.

Emily Kerr, Vice President, Business Banking, BMO Bank of Montreal
Emily Kerr is Vice President of Business Banking at BMO. She is known for building high‑performing teams and driving cross‑functional collaboration in complex, regulated environments. She leads with clarity, coaching, and alignment—bringing the right people together to simplify processes and advance strategic priorities. Her experience spans operational leadership, technology‑enabled transformation, and talent development, delivering outcomes such as revenue growth and improved client experience. Emily holds an MBA from Queen’s University and is active in mentorship and community leadership.

Kari Kylo, Founder and Managing Director, SOMA Public Relations
Kari Kylo is the Founder and Managing Director of SOMA Public Relations, a North Vancouver–based, award-winning B Corp–certified agency serving purpose-driven organizations in clean technology, climate innovation, and health. With more than 30 years of experience, she helps translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that build trust and accelerate growth. Kari is known for her strategic clarity, relationship-driven leadership, and commitment to supporting leaders advancing a more sustainable, healthy future.

Maryam Nani, Manager, NSIIP, Impact North Shore
Maryam Nani is the Manager of the North Shore Immigrant Inclusion Partnership (NSIIP) at Impact North Shore. She moved to Canada from Iran in 2012, with an MBA at Strategic Management and experience running her own tourism and travel business. She has volunteered with the Library Champions Project, served as a Trustee Board Member for the NV City Library, and as a member of the NSIIP Advisory Council. Maryam joined Impact North Shore as a Settlement Worker in Schools, supporting immigrant/newcomer students and families and later as Volunteer Coordinator. As Manager of NSIIP, she leads partnerships and initiatives that strengthen settlement outcomes for immigrants and foster inclusive, welcoming communities.
