About Us
The mothers I work with are highly capable in other areas of their lives. But their preteen or teen daughters keep tuning out or getting upset, and despite their best efforts, neither can get past the same recurring dynamic.
This isn't a personality problem — on your part or hers. It's a recognizable interaction pattern, and it has a specific function.
My background in educational consulting informs how I read the pattern; ACT principles shape how we work with it. In practice, this means identifying what's triggering and maintaining the friction, building the capacity to pause and respond from your values rather than from habit, and developing specific communication and boundary skills for the conversations that keep going sideways.
I've spent 25+ years in education as a teacher, learning support specialist, and district consultant. I hold a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education from McGill University and a Graduate Diploma in Special Education from the University of British Columbia, advanced training in leadership and conflict resolution (Justice Institute of BC), and professional membership in the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).
My work is private, focused, and designed for families ready to change the pattern — not just manage the moment.
