About Us
The Shipyards Christmas Market aims to replicate the festive atmosphere in Christmas markets across Europe. This free regional event is open to the public for all age groups and social circles and will be held at the Shipyards, Lonsdale Quay. This inclusive event allows community members to experience the Christmas spirit without spending much or any money.
We believe that the City of North Vancouver has the potential to host its own Christmas markets and has a wonderful opportunity to showcase the talents and offerings of community members and local businesses. It will provide economic and cultural benefits and strengthen the bonds that make our North Shore community unique. The Shipyards presents an ideal safe, entertaining, and accessible event setting, particularly with an ice rink, the City's Christmas tree, its local businesses at Lower Lonsdale, and easy access to public transport.
It is European-inspired and will have 75 to 100 stalls in its inaugural year. The market will open from November 29 to December 24, 2024.
